1989 yılının başlarında vokalist Anders Friden, gitarist Niklas Sundin, ritim gitarist Mikael Stanne, bas gitarist Martin Henriksson ve baterist Anders Jivarp bir araya gelip “Septic Broiler” adında bir thrash metal grubu kurdu. 1990 yılında “Enfeebled Earth” adlı bir demo kaset hazırladıkları sırada grup aninden fikir değiştirip demo çalışmasını bıraktı. Adını “Dark Tranquillity“ olarak değiştirdi ve death metale geçti.


1991 yılında grup ilk çalışmaları olan “Trail of Life Decayed”ı çıkardı. 1992’de ise “A Moonclad Reflection” adını verdikleri bir EP hazırlayıp bunu da çıkardı. Bu EP albüm 1500 sattı. Grubun müziği, her ne kadar death metal yapsalar da, 80’lerden gelen klasik thrash müziğinin öğeleriyle gitar harmonilerinin bir karışımı gibiydi.

1993 senesinde grup “Skydancer” albümünü hazırlayıp piyasaya sürdü. Bu albümde misafir sanatçı olarak Anna Kajsa Avehall vokalde gruba yardım etti. İki sene sonra yeni albüm “Of Chaos And Eternal Night” geldi. Albüm çıktıktan sonra Anders Friden gruptan ayrıldı ve Mikael Stanne vokalist rolünü üstlendi. Gitar boşluğunu da Friedrik Johansson’u gruplarına alarak kapattılar. Yeni kadroyla “The Gallery” albümünü yaptılar. Albüm beğeni topladı ve gruba büyük bir başarı kazandırdı.



Çıkışını sürdüren Dark Tranquillity 1996 senesinde yeni bir albüm için kolları sıvadı ve “The Mind’s I” isimli albümü yaptı. Bu albümde Andres Friden, Michael Nicklasson ve Sara Svensson misafir vokalist olarak yer aldı. Albüm özellikle güçlü vokal kadrosuyla gruba yine başarı getirdi. Üç senelik bir aradan sonra ise “Projector” isimli yeni albüm çıktı. Bu albümde grup tarzını biraz değiştirip sound’una elektronik müzikler kattı ve melodik death stilinden biraz uzaklaştı. Albüm, grubun hayranları tarafından biraz kuşkuyla karşılansa da yine istenilen başarıyı gösterdi ve dinleyenleri tatmin etti. Grup bu albümden yine bir kadro değişikliğine gitti. Johansson gruptan ayrıldı. Michael Nicklasson bas gitarist, Martin Brändström klavyeci olarak gruba katıldı. Martin Henriksson ise gitara geçti. Ve yepyeni kadroyla 2000’de “Haven” albümü çıktı. Bu albümde de grup elektronik öğeler kullanmaya ve klasik death metal tarzından uzaklaşmaya devam etti. Bu yeni albüm de rahat rahat hem basından hem dinleyenlerden geçer not aldı.

Bir sonraki albüm 2002 senesinde çıktı. Adı “Damage Done” olan bu albümde grup tam olarak köklü bir geri dönüş olmasa da eski müziklerini anımsatan bir tarz kullandı.

Grubun son çalışması ise 24 Mayıs 2004’te piyasaya çıkan “Exposures In Retrospect And Denial”. İlk dönemlerinde çıkardıkları demo ve EP parçalarının bulunduğu bu albümde grubun “Trail Of Life Decayed" (demo-1991) ve "A Moonclad Reflection" (EP-2002) gibi eski çalışmalarının yeni düzenlemeleri bulunuyor.



Dark tranquillity 2005 yılında Character isimli albümünü, Ardından 2007 de Fiction adlı albümlerini piyasaya sürdüler.

"Damage Done" is the much-anticipated sixth full length album from Gothenburg’s own Dark tranquillity, a band that has become an institution within the realms of extreme Metal, seeing that they deserve full credit for originally kicking off the stylistic wave of melodic Death Metal which has become established and frenetically followed all throughout the world in the meantime.



During their 13 years of existence, Dark tranquillity have always tried to constantly expand their musical borders and stray away from already-conquered territory, and “Damage Done” is certainly no exception to their own artistic goal, being a truly diverse affair showcasing a host of new approaches and inspirational sources. Compared to the electronically-tinged approach of “Haven” (2000) or the laid-back, lush melancholia of the (Swedish) Grammy-nominated entity “Projector” (1999), “Damage Done” is more technical and intense in feel; a direct and solid sound, yet with lots of complex arrangements and sonic structures emerging from below the surface. While not by any means being a sheepish “back to the roots” album, some of the aggressive aesthetics present in Dark tranquillity’s earlier work have resurfaced, giving birth to some faster passages, pounding and inherently catchy throughout. From the relentless thrash-o-rama of opener "Final Resistance" to the sombre closing tones of “Ex Nihilo” (the first instrumental in the band’s history), "Damage Done" runs the full gamut and showcases a hungry and confident band that presents absolutely no signs of musical exhaustion or willingness to descend from their position as a leading creative force in the metal scene.



Recorded with long term producer Fredrik Nordström at Gothenburg’s famous Studio Fredman facilities, the masterfully written and flawlessly executed eleven new creations on “Damage Done” are determined to fully please the passionate melodic Death Metal following as well as bringing new listeners into the very unique and charismatic sound of Dark tranquillity. Dünyanın en çok dinlenen Alman endüstriyel metal grubu Rammstein 1993 yılında Doğu Almanya’da kuruldu. Topluluk; adını, Amerika Hava Kuvvetleri’nin uçuş gösterisi sırasında gerçekleşen ve 80 kişinin yaşamına mal olan Ramstein Faciası’ndan alıyor.

Vokallerde Till Lindemann, gitarlarda Richard Kruspe ve Paul Landers, basta Oliver Riedel, davulda Christoph Schneider ve klavyede Christian "Flake" Lorenz’den oluşan Rammstein, uzunca bir süreyi demolarını kayıt şirketlerine benimsetmeye çalışarak geçirdi. Ardından prestijli firmalardan MotorMusic / Polygram ile anlaşarak ilk albümlerini dinleyenlerine ulaştırma fırsatını yakaladılar.

İlk Albüm: Herzeleid
"Herzeleid" (Gönül Yarası), anlaşmanın yapıldığı 1995 yılının sonbaharında raflardaki yerini aldı. Jacob Helner’in yapımcılığını üstlendiği çalışma büyük ilgi gördü. Özellikle "Du Riechst So Gut" ve albümle aynı adı taşıyan "Herzeleid", single versiyonlarıyla da beklenenin çok üzerinde satış değerleri elde ettiler. Altüst ettikleri müzik listelerinde, iki yıl sonra yeni albümleri çıkana kadar yer bulmayı başardılar. "Herzeleid", şu 11 parçadan oluşuyordu; "Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen?", "Der Meister", "Weisses Fleisch", "Asche Zu Asche", "Seemann", "Du Riechst So Gut", "Das Alte Leid", "Heirate Mich", "Herzeleid", "Laichzeit" ve "Rammstein".



Sehnsucht Liste Başı!
Albüm satışları ve canlı performanslarındaki başarılarıyla her geçen gün daha da ünlenen grup, 1997 yazında raflardaki yerini alan "Sehnsucht" ("Arzu") adlı albümüyle kariyerinin zirvesine çıktı. Avrupa ülkelerinde onbinlerce müzikseverin doldurduğu dev konser alanlarında performans sergileyen Rammstein, yeni albümüyle Alman müzik listelerinde bir numaraya yükseldi, İsviçre ve Avusturya’da da ilk sırayı zorlamayı başardı.

"Sehnsucht" albümünde şu parçalar yer alıyordu; "Sehnsucht", "Engel", "Tier", "Bestrafe Mich", "Du Hast", "Bück Dich", "Spiel Mit Mir", "Klavier", "Alter Mann", "Eifersucht" ve "Küss Mich (Fellfrosch)".

Topluluk; korkuyla romantizmi, tiyatral öğelerle müziği birleştiren özgün tarzıyla tüm dünyada tanındı, dinleyenin ayaklarını yerden kesen çalışmalarıyla büyük Hollywood yapımlarında boy gösterdi. "Resident Evil"dan "xXx"e ("Yeni Nesil Ajan"), tüm dünyanın odaklandığı "Matrix" filminden "Lilja 4-Ever"a ("Daima Lilya"), "Mortal Kombat"tan ("Ölümcül Dövüş") David Lynch imzalı "Lost Highway"e ("Kayıp Otoban") kadar birçok önemli filme şarkı veren grup, video klipleriyle de büyük beğeni topladı.

1998’de Berlin konserinin kayıtlarını içeren "Live Aus Berlin" albümü piyasaya çıktı. Kısa süre sonra konserin DVD’si de raflardaki yerini alırken 2001 yılının baharında "Mutter" ("Anne") adlı dördüncü albümlerini dinleyenlerine sundular.



"Mein Herz Brennt", "Links 2 3 4", "Sonne", "Ich Will", "Feuer Frei!", "Mutter", "Spieluhr", "Zwitter", "Rein Raus", "Adios" ve "Nebel" adlı 11 parçadan oluşan "Mutter" ile Rammstein; yeni arayışlara girse bile tarzının bütünlüğünü ve özgünlüğünü koruyacağını müjdeledi. "Mein Herz Brennt"in, hem müzikal değerleri hem de sözleriyle yansıttığı karamsar ve ürkütücü havaya girip derin düşüncelere daldığınız sırada "Links 2 3 4" ile toparlanıyorsunuz, "Adios"un ritmindeki başdöndürücü tempoya ayak uydurmaya çalışırken "Nebel"in "son öpücüğü" ile beyninizden vurulmuşa dönüyorsunuz. "Mutter" de diğer Rammstein albümleri gibi bu müthiş çelişkileri yaşatıyor dinleyicisine...

Ve Reise, Reise...
Rammstein, mükemmeliyetçi tavrıyla dinleyenlerinin beklentilerini her geçen gün daha da yukarı çekmeye başladı. Bu yüzden yeni albümler hayranlık yaratmadan önce endişeyle dinlendi. En çok endişe yaratan ve tartışılan albüm, 2004 sonbaharında çıkan "Reise, Reise" oldu.

Albümde, grubun eski çalışmalarına oranla daha ağır tempolu şarkılar dikkat çekiyor. Aşk parçalarının ve politik içerikli çalışmaların da yer bulduğu "Reise, Reise", Rammstein’ın hem ruhu, hem de müziğiyle ’tümüyle olgunlaştığı’nı gösteriyor. Yeni albümde "Herzeleid"ı, "Das Alte Leid"ı, "Du Hast"ı arayan dinleyiciler, "Reise, Reise"nin anlam yüklü içeriğini sindirerek çalışmaları kısa sürede benimsemeye başlıyorlar.

Albümde, klibiyle karşımıza çıkan ilk parça "Mein Teil" ("Parçam") oldu. Şarkı, Almanya’da gerçekleşmiş oldukça ilginç bir yamyam hikayesini anlatıyor. Armin Meiwes adlı bir vatandaş, internete "yemek için 18-30 yaşları arasında bir adam aranıyor" ilanını veriyor ve kurbanını beklemeye başlıyor. Çok geçmeden kurbanı ona cevap veriyor ve ikili buluşuyor. Kurbanını parçalara ayırarak bazı bölümlerini yiyor ve bazılarını da buzlukta saklıyor. Bu inanılmaz olaydan esinlenen grup, nakaratında "Denn du bist, was du isst" ("ne yersen osundur") sözü yer alan "Mein Teil"ı yazıyor ve yeni kelime oyunlarıyla hayranlarının aklını karıştırıyor. "İnsan olmak için insan yenir mi?"




Ardından sırayı, MTV ekranlarında da sıkça yer bulan, düşündürücü anlatımı ve başarılı kurgusuyla büyük beğeni toplayan "Amerika" aldı. "Hepimiz Amerika’da yaşıyoruz. Coca Cola, bazen savaş... Amerika, harika!" sözlerini kliplerinde belki de olabilecek en iyi şekilde yansıtan grup, bu çalışmanın ardından "Ohne Dich" için kamera karşısına geçti. İzleyicinin, etkisinden kolay kolay kurtulamadığı "Ohne Dich" klibinden sonra ise "Keine Lust" ekranlara yansıdı.

Şarkı listesinde; "Reise, Reise", "Mein Teil", "Dalai Lama", "Keine Lust", "Los", "Amerika", "Moskau", "Morgenstern", "Stein Um Stein", "Ohne Dich" ve "Amour" adlı parçaların yer aldığı "Reise, Reise" albümü, alışılan Rammstein tarzını birebir yansıtmıyor olsa da üretim kalitesi ve akılda kalıcılığıyla grup diskografisinde önemli bir yerin sahibi oldu.

Kayıt kalitelerinden canlı performanslarındaki eşsiz gösterilerine, albüm ve dvd sunumlarındaki özenden herbiri birbirinden üstün video kliplerine kadar tüm çalışmalarıyla olay yaratan Rammstein, endüstriyel metal tarzının bayrağını en önde taşıyan topluluk olarak müzik tarihindeki yerini aldı. Gelecekteki çalışmalarında eski tarzlarını ne kadar koruyacaklarını ve yeni arayışlara ne kadar yöneleceklerini birlikte göreceğiz.

Grup Üyeleri

Till Lindemann
4 Ocak 1964’te Almanya’nın Leipzig kentine bağlı küçük bir köy olan Wendisch-Rambow’da dünyaya gelen Till, Rammstein’a ruhunu kazandıran en önemli isim olarak nitelendirilebilir. Güçlü ve sıradışı vokaliyle grubun müziğine yön veren Lindemann’ın, boşandığı eşinden biri 8, diğeri 18 yaşında iki kız çocuğu bulunuyor. (Yazının yayına hazırlandığı Nisan 2005 itibariyle...)

Till, ilk grubu olan First Arsch’ta baterist olarak görev yapmış. Çocukluğunu ona dar eden babasını, ölümünden sonra mezarında hiç ziyaret etmemiş. Şu an Berlin’de bir dairede küçük balığıyla birlikte oturuyor. Pop müzikten nefret ediyor. Gençliğinde şampiyonluklar kazandığı yüzme sporunu 1988’de karın kaslarındaki zedelenme yüzünden bırakmak durumunda kalmış.

Richard Z. Kruspe-Bernstein
Rammstein’ın gitaristi Richard Z. Kruspe-Bernstein, 24 Haziran 1967’de Almanya’nın Wittemburg bölgesinde doğdu. İlk olarak Orgasm Death Gimmick grubunda görev yapan Richard, Till Lindemann’ın ilk eşi ile dünya evine girdi. (Khira Li Lindemann adında bir de kızı bulunuyor...) Boşandıktan bir süre sonra 29 Ekim 1999’da oyuncu Caren Bernstein ile hayatını birleştirdi.

Gençliğinde bir Kiss hayranı olan Richard, Rammstein’ın en sevilen parçalarından biri olan "Engel"i tek başına yazmış.




Paul H. Landers
Grubun diğer gitaristi Paul Henry Landers, 9 Aralık 1964 Berlin doğumlu. Flake ile birlikte Feeling B grubunda bir süre çaldıktan sonra müzik kariyerine Rammstein’da devam etmeye karar verdi. Piyano ve keman da çalabilen başarılı müzisyen, evlenip çocuk sahibi olduktan sonra boşanan üyeler kervanına katıldı. Landers’ın Emil adında küçük bir oğlu var.

Oliver Riedel 
Rammstein’ın en genç üyesi, basçı Oliver Riedel, 11 Nisan 1971’de Almanya’nın Schwerin bölgesinde dünyaya geldi. The Inchtabokatables grubunda çaldıktan sonra Rammstein’a gelen Riedel, evlenmemiş. İki erkek kardeşini ve babasını kaybeden genç adam, elektronikle ilgileniyor, kaykaya binmeyi seviyor ve tam 25 yıldır bas çalıyor.

Christoph Schneider
Baterist Christoph Schneider, 11 Mayıs 1966’da Berlin’de doğdu. Die Firma’da çaldıktan sonra Rammstein’da müzik yaşamını sürdüren Schneider da evlenip boşanan üyelerden biri. Adını ve yaşını söylemediği bir kızı var.

Christian "Flake" Lorenz
Flake, 6 Kasım 1966’da Berlin’de doğdu. Feeling B’de çaldıktan sonra Rammstein’a gelen ve klavyede harikalar yaratan Lorenz, sahne dışındaki ciddiyeti ve sahnedeki eğlenceli tavırlarıyla grupta sevilen isimlerden biri. Müzisyenlikten çok doktorluğu meslek olarak seçmek isteyen Lorenz, Rammstein’ı da ilk geldiğinde pek sevememiş, grubun sıkıcı olduğunu düşünmüş.

There is no other band that sounds remotely like Rammstein. The East German sextet's unique blend of metal, industrial, techno and classical musical elements has made it one of Europe's most successful rock bands ever since the 1995 release of its debut album HERZELEID (which went platinum in several Euro territories). Its successor SEHNSUCHT (released abroad in 1997, and as the band's U.S. debut in January 1998) was not only the logical continuation of the musical concept, but also even more successful than album No. 1. with platinum in Germany AND in the USA and a string of awards in other European countries, Rammstein secured their place in the history of rock music - a development on which their third album MUTTER will build. (Release date: April 3, 2001).

B - Band

Rammstein is: Flake Lorenz (keyboards), Oliver Riedel (Bass), Christoph Schneider (drums), Paul Landers (guitar), Richard Z. Kruspe-Bernstein (guitar), and Till Lindemann (vocals). There have been no line-up changes since the band was established in 1993.

C - Charts/Critics

Every single and album has made its way up the European charts. SEHNSUCHT went straight to Number 1 on the Media Control Charts immediately on release and stayed there for five weeks!

SEHNSUCHT also captured the highest praise from some of the most respected rock critics in the U.S., including Chuck Eddy in ROLLING STONE ("a melodramatic sense of melody as muscular as it is mannered") and SPIN ("...almost unbearable Black Forest sadness lurking beneath their operatic-romantic industrial-metal hybrid... (RAMMSTEIN have) figured out how to buffer their rage with beauty"), Charles M. Young in PLAYBOY ("Rammstein makes Metallica look like pussies. With its insane unison riffing, relentless rhythm-section drive and spare but bizarre sampling, Rammstein is also a lot more musical and imaginative than Metallica."), not to mention winning features and and reviews from DETAILS, the LOS ANGELES TIMES, the WALL STREET JOURNAL, and an MTV NEWS interview with Kurt Loder - in German!

D - David Lynch

Director of Blue Velvet, Eraserhead, Twin Peaks and Wild At Heart. He licensed two Rammstein songs for the soundtrack of his film Lost Highway before the band had ever released a record in America!

E - Entertainment

Rammstein are true entertainers. The band's amazing show has become a worldwide must-see, prompting Kiss to have them along as special guests on a South American tour. Even their sternest critics must grudgingly admit that a Rammstein show is first and foremost great entertainment. Robert Christgau, for example, had originally labeled SEHNSUCHT a "dud" but was later converted by the undeniable Rammstein live experience.

F - Family Values Tour

Rammstein played the penultimate slot on the tour's very first year, crossing the North American continent in autumn '98 and attracting more attention than ever - especially from the authorities of Worcester, Mass., who intervened when Till, Flake and their plastic strap-on phallus did their "Bück Dich" number. Though a regular part of every Rammstein show, it was perhaps too much of a good thing for the local authorities. "Lascivious conduct" justified their immediate removal from the stage and several hours in holding cells before their release upon payment of a 100 dollar fine and six months' probation.

G - Grammy

1999 saw Rammstein nominated, as the first German band ever, in the "Best Metal Performance" category (for "Du Hast").

H - Humor

Rammstein have a lot more than some people credit them with. Rammstein's toying with the dark side of desire is admittedly overdone at times to the point of becoming black comedy. That can lead to misunderstandings.

I - Imitators

There have been many, especially abroad. Rammstein's success with HERZELEID and SEHNSUCHT lured record company talent scouts out from behind their desks. In a hope of grabbing a slice of the action, they went in search of Rammstein clones. With more or less modest success. Who wants a copy when you can have the real thing?

J - Jacob Hellner

Never change a winning team. MUTTER was produced with Jacob Hellner (Clawfinger etc.), who had already twiddled the knobs for HERZELEID and SEHNSUCHT. The band themselves can best explain why: "Jacob is the ideal producer for Rammstein, because he doesn't intervene in the songwriting. When the songs are ready, we work on them with him to make them even stronger. Another thing: He knows how to give the musicians self-confidence, so they can give of their best during the recording process. And then he is very disciplined and has a regular rhythm. That suits us as a band very well. He concentrates on his work so much that after a day in the studio he is swaying as if he has drunk too much!"

K - Krauts

Rammstein are not ashamed to be Krauts.

L - Live Shows

USA, Japan, Australia, Europe, South America - there is scarcely anywhere upon earth where Rammstein have not yet set off their rockets. They are one of the few bands in recent years to have defined themselves very largely through their live shows, which in turn are characterized by their vast battery of pyrotechnics, which comes close to a full scale operatic production. Rammstein's concerts are marked by grand gestures which linger on in the mind's eye.

M - Mutter

The new album. Rammstein have continued to develop while avoiding the mistake of sacrificing their own identity. MUTTER sees them doing what they do best: A bombastic mixture of razor-sharp riffs, monolithic song structures, spine-chilling Gothic horror and the lugubrious vocals that never harbored such ambition as on MUTTER. To this they have added some new elements - like jungle-style beats - and these become an integral part of the sound and leave it instantly recognizable. MUTTER is still Rammstein pure an undiluted. Just a little bit more perfect. And more aroused. And more exciting. And a whole lot better. MUTTER has surely brought the band breathtakingly near to its goal of melding the harmonies of pop with the hard riffs of metal.

N - Nation

Rammstein sing in German. In contrast to most of their colleagues, they never sought to do otherwise. "Why should we?" ask Rammstein. "We wanted to do our own thing, and that has to do with where we come from. And we are from the German nation."

O - Official Fan Club

Rammstein and its fans enjoy a very special relationship. Rammstein enjoy introducing fan club members to still unreleased songs at selected gigs. Without letting in the general public. Or people from their record company, either...

P - Politics

Nothing Rammstein want to have anything to do with.

Q - Quentin Tarantino

Director of Pulp Fiction, From Dusk 'Til Dawn, etc. Rammstein drew on his Reservoir Dogs for the imagery in their video to "Du Hast", Rammstein's most successful song to date worldwide.

R - Remixes

As remixers, Rammstein are on many artists wish lists. Faith No More, Korn and Rob Zombie are only a few of the acts they have worked with to date.

S - Success

Rammstein have had an ample share of success. They won a 1998 Echo (basically the German Grammy) for best video ("Engel") and that year's Viva Comet for best live band (Viva is the national German music video channel). 1999 brought them the Echo for most successful national artist abroad (SEHNSUCHT). After all, Rammstein are the only German band since Kraftwerk to make such an international name for themselves, making it into the U.S. Billboard Top 100, touring extensively here - not to mention nominations for both the Grammy and MTV Europe Music Awards.

T - Technincs, Pyro-

These are much in evidence at Rammstein's concerts. Till Lindemann in his blazing asbestos coat is emblematic of every Rammstein show. Till earned qualification as a pyrotechnician specifically to execute Rammstein's megalomaniacal pyrotechnic effects. Rammstein fans owe the whole gigantic display to an old complaint of the singer: "The songs of HERZELEID were too static. I always felt such a prat in the instrumental passages. I held onto the microphone stand while other front men were dancing or flinging things through the air. But that didn't suit our music. And it really didn't suit me. So one day I had these two Roman candles in my hand. And that's how the whole thing exploded into life."

U - Understandings, Mis-

Frequent in the case of Rammstein. The band's signature mixture of provocative lyrics, Gothic horror and primitive regressive fantasies may have something to do with that. The debate was fuelled recently by the use of excerpts from Leni Riefenstahl films in their video of the cover of Depeche Mode's "Stripped" (from the Music For The Masses DM tribute), though the band later explained that they were only interested in the artistic value of the images and not their political content.

V - Video/DVD

LIVE AUS BERLIN. Recorded on August 22 and 23, 1998. Rammstein played a one-time-only escalated version of its classic stage show at Berlin's Wuhlheide venue.

X - Sex

Sex is a central theme in Rammstein's songs. Not that they always cast a rosy light on what happens when people come together. Rammstein's ironic plays on S/M fantasies - as in "Bück Dich" or "Rein Raus" (on MUTTER) - can sometimes lead to misunderstandings.

Hayko Cepkin, (doğum 11 Mart - 1978, İstanbul) Ermeni asıllı Türk vatandaşı piyanist, müzisyen.

Liseden sonra 2 yıl mimar sinan üniversitesi'nde şan eğitimi aldı. 2 sene timur selçuk çağdaş müzik merkezi'nde şan, solfej ve armoni dersleri aldı. 1 sene akademi istanbul'da piyano eğitimi gördükten sonra profesyonel müzik yaşantısına 1997 yılında klavyeci olarak başladı.

Sırasıyla öztürk, Ogün Sanlısoy, Aylin Aslım, Koray Candemir ve Demir Demirkan gibi isimlerle sahneyi paylaştı. Çalıştığı isimlerin bazılarının albümlerinde de düzenlemeci kimliğiyle yer aldı. En son Murathan Mungan'ın söz vermiş şarkılar adlı albümünde aylin aslım'ın seslendirdiği "kimdi giden" adlı bir yeni türkü bestesi olan parçayı düzenledi. Bu sırada evinin odasında kaydettiği bestelerini hayata geçirme kararı aldı. 2005 yılı içinde "Sakin olmam lazım" adlı albümü ile alternatif müzik piyasasında yerini aldı.



Daha sonra 2OO7 de tanışma biti albümüyle sevenleriyle buluştu.Müziğe daha sert devam eden Hayko(kendi tabiriyle)türü bozuk tarzıyla açık olduğuna inandığımız yoluna devam ediyor.Bu albümü korku-gerilim temasıyla oluşturan Hayko'nun yeni albümünde 5taneintro,10tane parça+bonus
